Terms of Service

Effective July 6, 2026

These Terms govern your use of stratless (the “Service”), operated by its founder as an individual. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

The Service

stratless is a stateless competitive-intelligence API. Given a set of companies as text, it returns the structure of their market as data. It describes a field; it does not rank companies or issue verdicts. Its outputs are calibrated and provisional — “traceable and calibrated,” never “correct” — and are provided for informational purposes only.

Accounts and API keys

You must sign in with GitHub to use the Service, and you must be at least 18 and able to enter this agreement. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret and for all activity under them. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if a key is compromised.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or to process content you are not authorized to share;
• submit personal, confidential, or sensitive data you don’t have the right to send to a third-party processor;
• abuse, overload, or circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security controls;
• resell, sublicense, or reverse-engineer the Service.

Credits and billing

The free tier includes 50 companies per month, which resets monthly. Beyond that, the Service uses prepaid credits, where one credit equals one company analyzed; credits are consumed only on a successful analysis. Paid credit checkout is not yet active. When it launches, purchased credits are non-refundable once consumed, except where required by law. Prices and the credit model may change; changes won’t apply to credits you’ve already bought.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Its outputs are provisional, statistical, and calibrated — not statements of fact, and not professional, legal, financial, or investment advice. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for any decision. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, stratless is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim.

Intellectual property

You keep all rights to the text you submit and to the field maps you receive; use them freely. We keep all rights to the Service itself — the API, the harness, the site, and the brand.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to it or others.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
